IP AND IK RATINGS |

The IP (Ingress Protection) system is an internationally recognized method to indicate the degree of protection against the admission of dust, solid objects, or moisture into a mechanism. IP is followed by two numbers ranging in a scale from 0-6 and 0-8 respectively. The higher the number, the more impermeable the mechanism. SONARAY lights have varying degrees of IP ratings, the highest being IP65. Please refer to the specific SONARAY product to see its rating relative to ingress protection. IK Ratings measure degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts in accordance with IEC 62262:2002 and IEC 60068-2-75:1997. Again, general IK ratings range from IK00 to IK10 with the higher number indicative of more protection. SONARAY products rate as high as IK09 on this scale. IESNA LM-80 STANDARD |

IESNA LM-80 Standard With an outstanding reputation for product quality, SONARAY differentiates itself from many of those in the LED market by making sure that all of the LED chip sets used on our lighting products comply with the IES LM-80 standard, an official quality standard from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). The LM-80 is a common test to measure the lumen maintenance of LED light sources - through a usage of 6,000 hours broken down into intervals of not less than 1,000 hours, at different junction temperatures - to give the projection of lumen maintenance after usage of 35,000 hours.

Intensive Color Rendering (CRI) Ra80 The color rendering index (CRI) (sometimes called color rendition index,) is a quantitative measure of the ability of a light source to reproduce the colors of various objects precisely in comparison with an ideal or natural light source. SONARAY uses LEDs with the highest level of top color rendering, yielding a genuine color range between 80 and 95% of CRI. The resulting effect when using SONARAY lighting is that you will experience more clarity, better color appearance and natural visual appeal, both consciously and subconsciously. |
CHROMATICITY RANGE |

Chromaticity Range 3-Step MacAdam Ellipse ANSI C78.377 is an official standard for chromaticity specified by American National Standards Institute. Our product range complies with ANSI C78.377 and some specific products correspond to “3-steps MacAdam ellipses,” which are the chromaticity ranges narrowed to about a ninth of that of the aforementioned standard. |

Lighting Goods Bio Safety Standard EN62471:2008 Light sources emit certain levels of heat and radiation that can be harmful to human skin and eyes. Official standards have been made to classify the safety levels and grading of different light sources. SONARAY uses the best quality LED light sources, which are classified as Grade 4 - the highest safety standard for lighting sources, which certifies them as safe and not harmful to humans. |
